To sum up briefly, Nusa Penida is an island southeast of Indonesia’s island Bali. Right on this island you will find amazing cliffs and besides, this perfect beach. Definitely, one of the favourite places of all tourists and clearly mine.
Diamond Nusa Penida Beach will amaze you with beautiful turquoise water as well as that fine white sand, beautiful palm trees, an incredible view of the diamond-shaped rocks, small caves and much more… Without a doubt, you will take away an incredible feeling of happiness and beautiful memories from this beach.

Diamond Beach is located on the east coast of the island, between Atuh Beach and Rumah Pohon Tree House. Moreover, you can visit all these amazing places in one day. Besides that, they are really close to each other.

How to get there and how much is the entrance fee.
It’s quite easy to reach by car or also motorbike. From Toya Pakeh Harbor, it is an hour drive to reach this beach. In my opinion, the best way to get there is by hiring a scooter. Obviously, you can rent a scooter on arrival to Nusa Penida Island at the Toya Pakeh harbour or most likely from your hotel or guest house for about 70,000 IDR a day.
In addition, entry to Diamond Beach and Diamond Beach Viewpoint costs only IDR 10,000 per person (€ 0.60). Atuh Beach is also included in the price.
This tree is located in the viewpoint a very popular place to take photos and videos. And of course, spectacular views 🙂
Before you go down , you can walk up to a small building where you find a viewpoint overlooking the beach. You can see not only Diamond Beach but also Atuh Beach. The viewpoint is an easy 5-minute walk from the parking area.
Best time to get there.
I started my journey from the hotel at 5:00am to get to Diamond Beach at sunrise and beat the crowds. At this time you can avoid the crowded beach and you can really enjoy the incredible view on the way down via the stairs cut into the cliffside. Above all you will have the entire beach just for yourself. The stairs only go to a certain point and then you have to climb over some rocks, but it is definitely not as difficult as the descent to Kelingking Beach. In fact, it was about 15 minutes way down.
This beach is not suitable for swimming, but it still has its charm.
